An exhibition space in print

Blank Slate is a large-format art journal bringing together artists, architects, critics and curators – in the space between practice and theory. It pairs the currency of an academic journal with the production quality of a catalogue. The design translates this into a clear layout system: generous white space, quiet typography and full-page spreads that give the work room to breathe.

Once a year, Berlin Design Week turns the German capital into a platform for innovative design. The multifaceted program includes formats such as exhibitions, showrooms, talks, films and workshops, which are held over seven days in parallel at many different locations in the city. Designers, museums, cultural institutions, galleries, studios, project spaces and companies present new approaches and currents within contemporary design.
